The AGA Division is mandated under the Civil Aviation Act of Vanuatu (CA Act No. 16 of 1999) and the Civil Aviation Rules Part 139 (Aerodromes – Certification, Operation and Use) to conduct regulatory oversight for all certified airports within the Republic of Vanuatu. Additional, for all the outer – island airports, the applicable Aerodrome Standards and requirements are stipulated in the CAAV’s Advisory Circular 139 – 7.
